Ancestry The Community Library now provides access to Ancestry on the library’s computers. Patrons may use their library card barcodes to log in to our computers and access Ancestry.

The New York State Directory for 2021/2022 access to all levels of state government, locate key government contacts, non-profit and advocacy groups, political action committees and so much more!

Research Databases – great for help with homework, getting facts, planning a trip or business, researching your family history, learning about your community and world, and more!

Some valuable primary sources for local history and genealogy can only be accessed at the library, including access to Ancestry.com Library Edition.

Special Collections

Creativebug is an online collection of detailed, professionally-produced videos providing step-by-step instruction on a range of arts and craft projects. Community Library patrons can use their library card ID# and password to set up a free account.

New York State Newspapers on Microfilm – The most extensive collection of newspapers produced in New York, available from the NYS Library on microfilm for interlibrary loan.

New York State Historic Newspapers –┬áThe NYS Historic Newspapers project provides free online access to a wide range of newspapers chosen to reflect New York’s unique history. Over 8 million scanned pages of newspapers from around the state from the 18th Century to the present.

New York State Library Online Exhibits – An interesting collection of materials that are part of the New York State Library’s vast collections.
