Internal Policies

Policies covered in this section pertain to issues typically experienced in the governance and administration of the library. Though consideration of how the library serves users is a principle consideration overall, many of these policies deal with how the library operates internally. The broad intention of most of these policies is to provide guidance or rationale on the appropriate resolution of an issue facing Trustees or the Director and how Personnel issues are managed and resolved.

The fundamental areas of concern in this section deal with:

  • Responsible and fair use of public resources
  • Fostering understanding of how public resources are managed
  • How the library complies with regulations
  • Administration of the library
