In keeping with the Board of Trustees action from earlier this year, the Community Library will no longer charge overdue fines for materials intended for young people and learners. All items with a call number on the spine starting with the letter “J” will no longer have fines for being returned late. Fees will still be added for items that have been damaged or lost.
Cardholders with more than two items overdue on their account will not be able to check out more items. If they are children’s items, please bring them back in order to borrow more.
Items from our Young Adult collection and General collection will still have overdue fines charged. No items have due dates set for dates that we’re closed regularly or for holidays that the library observes. When bad weather stikes and we close early, we typically forgive fines the next day that we’re open.
Please ask at the Front Desk or Director’s Office if you have questions and thank you!
